BEST NETGUARD™  Troubleshooting Instructions
Follow the steps listed below to troubleshoot  BEST NETGUARD™.
 

PROBLEM: BEST NETGUARD™ is not operating.

 
Please Note:
• When the ON Button is pressed (on the Keyfob), the BEST NETGUARD™ System is ACTIVATED and the Internet connection is OFF. The GREEN LIGHT ON RECEIVER IS OFF (The receiver is the little black box, THAT IS CONNECTED TO THE CABLE)
• When the OFF Button is pressed (on the Keyfob), the BEST NETGUARD™ System is DEACTIVATED and you’re connected to the internet. (GREEN LIGHT IS ON)
• When GREEN light is lit, you’re connected to the internet.
• When GREEN light is NOT lit, you’re not connected to the internet.
 

Step 2: Check to see if BEST NETGUARD™ power transformer is plugged in to an electrical wall outlet or power strip and plug the other end into tiny hole on black receiver box connected to cable.
Step 2: Check to see if the RED light on BEST NETGUARD™ receiver is lit indicating power is supplied. (RED light should always be lit indicating power is being supplied to BEST NETGUARD™)
Step 3: When pressing the ON button on the remote control Keyfob, the GREEN LIGHT should NOT be lit. This indicates the receiver is blocking your internet connection.

NOTE: When ON or OFF button is depressed on remote control keyfob, a small RED light is displayed on remote. If the RED light does not flash when clicking the ON or OFF button, check the remote’s batteries and replace if needed.

 
PROBLEM: BEST NETGUARD™ is operating but not connecting to the internet.
 

Step 1: Check to see if the BEST NETGUARD™ cable with built in receiver is properly connected. One end should be connected to the modem/router and the other end connected to your computer.
Step 2: Press the OFF button on remote control keyfob and the GREEN light on theBEST NETGUARD™ receiver which is connected to the cable is lit. Normal Internet activity should be available.

 

PROBLEM: BEST NETGUARD™ is still not operating after above tests.
